SELF UNPLUGGED Workshop

Lauren Tate is a Writer from Detroit, Michigan, a University of Michigan Alum, and a Self-published author.

Being a survivor of sexual abuse at the age of 5 years old, Lauren, at the age of 9, took pen to paper and, out of trauma, began to wield pain into purpose. Later, as a young adult, she wrote and self-published her first book, Fragments of a Full Memory, documenting the joys and trials of finding her voice. Writing is a crucial tool Lauren uses to process, reflect, and learn more about herself and her role in the world.

Self-Unplugged is a healing and meditational workshop. Through journal prompts, literary exercises, and group discussions, Lauren Tate guides young professionals to dig deeper within themselves by creating a safe place to think, process, and reflect. Lauren’s goal is to bring everyone attending the workshops closer to possessing and expressing Self-awareness, Honesty, and Vulnerability in every part of their life.
